There are two types of religions: monotheistic and multitheistic. These two approaches are based on the Greek roots henos (one) and theos (god), and are different from one another. Monotheism can be defined as a group that includes several tribal religions. Polytheism, on the other hand, is the belief in one god.

Monotheistic religions

Monotheism, a cosmological theory, asserts that there is only one deity. This irenic entity, which is ultimately superior to all other entities, is the source of world order. Although it doesn't necessarily require one omniscient God, monotheistic traditions are often marked by an intense sense of authority or exclusivity.

Three main religions practice monotheism are Christianity, Islam, or Judaism. While all three are monotheistic, the modern understanding of monotheism is relatively recent compared to the rise of the major world religions. Monotheism was actually developed hundreds of years ago, after the major religions.

Zoroastrianism was one of the most influential monotheistic religions. It had a dualistic view of good and bad, but it later influenced many major religions around the world. Judaism is another monotheistic religion. This belief believes that one God speaks to all his prophets. Actually, Moses led the Hebrews freed from slavery in Egypt by leading them through 40 years of wandering in the desert.
