Identist pluralism

Hindus are familiar with Advaita Vendanta's identityist pluralism of religious belief. This viewpoint doesn't have a formula but it implies that all religions aim for the same ultimate reality. This idea is frequently expressed in Hindu tradition through the slogan, “All religions can be true.”

It would instead be a simplified version of the true thing.

Cosmos-focused religionists

Monotheist identists

However, these differences are not mutually exclusive. Monotheism, regardless of one's position, can be a framework to explore the more complex reality.

Monotheistic monotheistic faiths may also be dualistic. They present the world as a series of basic principles that either represent good or evil, matter, or spirit. These variations are based upon esoteric knowledge, and are considered heretical by the Christian religion. Gnostic systems, which combine belief in one God with the dualistic of matter or spirit, are an example of a dualistic faith. This belief is found in many cultures, including Egypt and Babylon.
