You aren't the only one wondering what "Pagan", means. Pagans exist all over the world. This term can also be used to refer to shamanism or respect for the deceased. Additionally, the term is used to describe witchcraft. There's no clear definition of paganism.
'Pagan' means 'civilian'
Despite the fact that the word 'pagan' has no religious roots, it is often used to describe people who do not observe the traditional religious practices. The word "peasant" derives its name from the classical Latin "pagus," which is also the origin of the word. The original meaning was "nonreligious", or rustic. However, it has been interpreted as civilian over the years.
'Heathen' means'military'
'Heathen' is an adjective used to describe those practicing Asatru, an Old Norse religion. The term is also used to describe practices based in Germanic traditions. Asatru members can be found in Germany, Canada, and the United States. They are organized under the Troth, a 501(c)3 religious organization with stewards in New Zealand and Australia.

"Shamanism," means "respect for dead"
Shamanism's philosophical foundations are its own. While Shamanism was closely related with the early Abrahamic religions the shamanic worldview had more gods or evil spirits and superstition. It is evident in the Bible.
'Witchcraft'
In pagan culture, witchcraft is the practice or use of supernatural powers to manipulate the world. For hundreds of years, pagans have used these methods. They believe they can use rituals and other conspiracies to connect with nature and gain special powers. This tradition is often linked with esotericism, which is the study of ancient beliefs and philosophies.
'Druidism'
Druidism is an ancient spiritual path that was rooted in pagan beliefs. Many druids believe in reincarnation, alternate lives in other worlds, and that nature is inherently spiritual. James Lovelock, while working at NASA in the 1960s, proposed the Gaia Hypothesis, which claims Earth is a living organism. Golding gave the hypothesis its name.
'Hellenism'
"Hellenism" can be described as a broad umbrella term for many pagan religious traditions that honor ancient Greeks. These practices are an attempt at reviving religious practices that were once practiced by ancients. While some groups claim to have the original tradition, others are revivalists.

'Wicca'
Wicca is a pagan religion that involves worshipping and working alongside a goddess or God. These deities could take on many different forms, including the Triple Goddess and Horned Goddess, as well as the Goddess of Moon. The emphasis of these deities varies by group, but most Wiccans believe that the God and Goddess are one and the same, and that they are both part of the same Divine image.
