Western religion is the JudeoChristian faith tradition that is most prevalent in Western countries, particularly in the domestic sector. This tradition is closely tied to the development of modern secularism. However, it was developed within a specific cultural or ideological context. While some people are still able to practice traditional Western faith, many others have changed their minds and become hostile to the religious tradition.
Christianity
You're wrong to believe Christianity is only a west religion. This religion has become a worldwide phenomenon. It is practiced in more than 200 countries. It is a powerful force that can unite people from different parts of the globe. Its doctrines have many followers.
While Christianity has been the dominant religion in Western World for many years, it is no longer the case. Christianity is much more prominent in other parts than in the West. This shift in numerical strength is just part of the story. Many Eastern groups have clung to the excuse that Christianity is a western religion.

Marxism
Although some Christians are unsure whether Marxism should be considered a religion, or a political ideology, the majority of Christians do not believe so. It is important to understand that both are religions. The Christian faith holds that God created man, and that he is an individual and not a collection. Marxism rejects the view and maintains that man can be socially and culturally interdependent.
Marx is not an atheist. Yet, he was a materialist who held strong beliefs in science and was highly influenced by scientific inquiry. Marx's atheism manifested itself in his opposition of religious belief.
Progressivism
Progressivism in western religion is an idea that aspires to make the world a better place by eradicating old beliefs and replacing them with new ones. This religious approach does not rely solely on divine guidance. Instead, it aims to correct the mistakes made in the past and create new ones. Progressivism rejects the notion that there is a soul. It seeks to replace it by an artificial, naturalistic world. Progressivism does not seek to eradicate old beliefs, but it does offer hope for society.
Progressives believe humanity is on the "right side" of history, and that people can understand History's goals. They believe progress is inevitable because of the changing of human values. This eventually leads to an idealized history that does not include religion and classes. This view, unfortunately, is not supported empirically and is based in an extravagantly ideological and religious outlook.

Eastern Orthodox Church
Some Westerners believe the Eastern Orthodox Church to be a Western faith. They consider this unjustifiable. Recent incidents have raised concern. After wearing a cassock at a rally in Washington, D.C. to support a Unite the Right candidate, a priest from the Orthodox Church of America was temporarily suspended. Other clergy have also voiced their political opinions via social media and personal blogs.
Orthodox Christianity places the Holy Trinity at its core. This concept transcends the traditional Western religions. Orthodox Christians believe that Christ was crucified, dipped into Hell, and rose again to rescue souls trapped in Hell by original sin. In doing so, he healed mankind of their guilt and delivered them from Hell.
