Indian beliefs differ from other cultures in many ways. Lakotas, for example, believe in a parallel world of spirits. They believe any Indian can receive visions and guidance from God. Contrary to Christianity, the Lakota didn't believe in eternal damnation, sin, salvation, and salvation. Instead, they believed visions came from a higher being and that spiritual guidance comes from these visions.

Hinduism refers to an Indian belief system which emphasizes the importance and non-violence of ethics. These four core values, called purusarthas, are found in Hindu literature. They are commonly referred to in modern times as dharma/artha, kama/moksa. These four values are the basis for Hindu society.
