Poseidon is the Greek god for the sea. He is also the god of storms and earthquakes. He is also associated the animals, such as horses and bulls. He is a well-known figure in contemporary culture. Poseidon's temperament was similar to other Greek gods. It could range from calm and deadly temperamental. Poseidon was closely associated with mythological creatures such as dragons and evil greats before he was linked to the sea.

Poseidon played an important part in land disputes during his lifetime. Although he lost Attica's throne to Athena, his worship was continued at places like Colonus.
His consorts
In ancient Greek mythology, Poseidon had a multitude of lovers. Some of his consorts had divine natures, while others were mortal. Amphitrite (daughter of Zeus und Demeter) was among his many female lovers. Aphrodite, who is the goddess, love and beauty, was also one of his consorts. These consorts had children to Poseidon, which included the gods Triton & Rhodos.
His relationship with Zeus
Poseidon's relationship with Zeus is one that is characterized by rivalry. Both possess extraordinary supernatural powers and can use them to great effect. Though they were equal in status, Zeus had the upper hand.
His powers
Poseidon, the god of the ocean, has many supernatural powers. Poseidon can, for example, control lightning, storms, and water. This ability is called Atmokinesis and can be broken down into several sub-abilities. Poseidon can also manipulate ice and water, which give him complete control of the element of water.
His trident
His trident is one the most important symbols for the Greek god Poseidon. This trident was given to Poseidon by the Cyclopes who were ancient blacksmiths and also made the helmets and thunderbolts of Zeus. The legendary weapon is said to be made from gold and brass. It was also gifted to him by one-eyed gigantics, Titans prisoners. The one-eyed giants offered to free the ancient captives and gave them their trident as well as other weapons for use against the Titans. The great Cronus was captured by the Titans and bound away with the trident.
His jealousy
Poseidon was a god of great power, but not without his jealousy. He was usually a very short-tempered man. He showed patience only when he was disciplining someone or something. He was known for forgetting details and people. This was often done to amuse his self. This led to many fatherless kids. But, this didn't stop him from taking revenge.
His relationship is with the Phaiakians
Poseidon is one the most well-known Greek gods. He is best known for his love of the sea. He is also famous for his wandering eye. Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, tried to cover herself from Poseidon once by pretending she was a mare amongst the horses of King Onkios. Poseidon saw through Demeter's disguise and transformed into a massive stallion to force his way onto her.
