Minotaur
Many mythological creatures have made their way into Greek history, including the Minotaur. Minotaur comes from the Greek words Minos & 'taur which mean 'bull'. Minotaur's birth name was Asterion. This refers to the Taurus bull constellation. Minotaur's appearance in myth makes it one of most feared creatures within Greek mythology.
Colchian dragon
The mythological Colchian Dragon was a creature from mythology that was first mentioned in ancient Greek mythology. It guarded and was a giant serpent. It is said to be poisonous and large, but it is not clear how it kills its prey. It is stated that the dragon was killed in the story by Medea, a witch.

Three-headed dog
Cerberus, a three-headed dog depicted in Greek mythology was responsible for guarding the Underworld gates. It was believed to have had a snake tail and snake mane as well as lion claws. Euripides recounts that Heracles was sent by Hades to capture Cerberus. Hades asked Heracles to use only his weapons against the three-headed dog, and Heracles did so.
Merpeople
According to mythology from ancient Greece, merpeople were beautiful female characters that would lure men into the waters and lead them to their demise. They were also called sirens. These creatures floated in the sea and lured men into their deaths with their seductive songs. Although the Christian church disapproves of this practice, ancient Greek authors attribute merpeople to Aphrodite the Greek goddess love and pleasure.

The mythical Erymanthian beast was an enormous boar with wild and untamed characteristics. The Erymanthian boar lived in the glens and marshes of Lampeia, Erymanthus.
Colchian lion
The Colchian Dragon (fire-breathing giant serpent) guarded and protected the Golden Fleece. Jason, the Greek hero, sought the Golden Fleece as his prize. Later, the Argonauts took it. Jason and the Argonauts come across the dragon in the story. Jason was defeated by the dragon when Medea, a witch, helped him to put it down.
