What Religions and How Many Gods Exist?

There are many questions about religions, and how many gods are there. There are Hinduism (Christianity, Islam, Judaism), Christianity, Islam, Judaism. While each religion worships different gods they all have one common God. This article will discuss some of these religions with their gods.

Hinduism

In the Hindu religion, there are many gods. Many of these gods are minor and can be assimilated to the central pantheon. They are often associated with the great gods either as children or friends. Islam

Islam holds that there are many gods. These immortal beings are the link between God and humanity. They sent messengers, like the angel Gabriel, in order to deliver God's message, to Muhammad. Angels, as such, are not subject to unbelief.

Judaism

Judaism refers to a worldwide religion that worships God. The Jews believe in God and made a covenant with him to keep the laws he gave to them. Jewish people try to follow the letter and spirit of the law, but also try to do what is best for God. Holiness is an integral part of Jewish religious life. This means that they seek to glorify God by honoring his work.


Christianity

Christians claim that the Bible only mentions one God, but some people believe that the Bible contains multiple gods. This misunderstanding is a common one. The Bible doesn't say that there are three gods, it simply says that God exists in three persons. Some Christians believe there are three gods.

Sikhs

According to Sikhs, there are many gods who help us in our daily lives. They are not all the same, and they believe that each person's actions will have an effect on the next person. The Sikh belief system also has a very strong emphasis on doing good deeds after death. There are 700,000 Sikhs today in America, with most of them living in India. Sikhs in America usually worship at a Gurdwara on Sunday. However, there are formal services on Wednesday and Friday.

Buddhism

Buddhism is known in the West as an "atheistic" religion, but this does not mean that it is devoid of deities. It is a belief that there are many gods to assist people in daily living. These deities may be a combination of countless forces in nature, but they all serve a purpose in the Buddhist worldview.

Polytheism

Polytheism is a tolerant form of religion, and it reflects this tolerance by allowing the existence of multiple gods. Many cultures throughout history have worshiped many gods. According to Exodus, the ancient Egyptians worshipped thousands upon thousands of gods.
